Since last year, Japan allows guest workers from the Philippines to work in the agriculture and health care sector. With their training, our graduates qualify for skilled workers' visas provided they have a basic understanding of Japanese and passed the N-5 language exam. A similar cooperation with the Shangri-La group in Hong Kong is currently being discussed. They expressed an interest to take up to ten students per year. With salaries in the range of PhP 60'000 - 70'000 (USD 1'200 - 1'400) both opportunities are attractive. A junior accoutant in Manila makes about PhP 50k per months. The young graduates will have to commit to between four to five years abroad and can then return with significant savings.JDVSF RoadThe JDVSF Road sign planted 18 years ago at the opening of the first cottage is by chance directed towards Japan
